We started DWNWND because we couldn’t find what we were looking for—a company that delivered both exceptional design and high-quality printing. It always felt like we had to choose one or the other. But for us, that was never an option. We wanted both—without compromise.
Born out of our passion for watersports and the active lifestyle, DWNWND was created to serve people like us—those who live for movement, nature, and purpose. We understand the need for gear that not only performs but also represents who we are.
The name DWNWND comes from the term "downwind"—meaning situated or moving in the direction in which the wind is blowing. For paddlers, sailors, surfers, and adventurers, going downwind is more than just a direction—it’s momentum, flow, and being in sync with nature. It symbolizes ease, alignment, and power—everything we aim to bring through our work.
This is more than just apparel. This is a movement—driven by passion, designed with purpose, and made for those who move forward with the wind.
THE DESIGN
We’re proud to share our latest project with the Philippine Outrigger Canoe Club (POCC)—designing and printing their 2025 club uniform, which also doubles as official merchandise to help raise funds for future events. POCC requested a vibrant, eye-catching design to ensure visibility and safety on the water, especially in open ocean paddling or low-visibility conditions. The final design beautifully fuses two powerful cultural elements: water and traditional tattoos.
According to the National Quincentennial Committee of the Philippines, these two elements hold deep historical significance: water represents our Visayan ancestors, who played a pivotal role in the first circumnavigation of the world 500 years ago, while tattoos symbolize the maritime civilization of our forebears—proud, skilled, and connected by the sea. In partnership with the Philippine Outrigger Canoe Club (POCC) and the 𝑶𝒄𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝑳𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑲𝒊𝒅𝒔 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒋𝒆𝒄𝒕, we helped deliver school supplies to Caohagan Island Elementary School—part of our shared goal to support 1,400+ students in island communities.
